DIH
The European Union’s Digital Europe Programme (2021-2027) promotes the digital transformation of society and the economies of its Member States. With this aim, since 2016, the European Union has developed the concept of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) as ecosystems for collaboration geared towards providing services that boost the incorporation of solutions for the digitization of products, services or processes, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises.
To do so, these hubs are made up of different agents like universities, private and public R&D centers, industrial associations, chambers of commerce, incubators and accelerators, sharing multiple complementarities.
Digital Innovation Hubs have the human resources and technological infrastructure necessary for companies to access next-generation knowledge, experience and technology.
At the same time, Digital Innovation Hubs operate as a “single window” through which to offer the information, services and facilities necessary for businesses to successfully face their digital transformation processes.
